Mayflower Morris Muster

Plymouth Morris hosted the 364th Meeting of The Morris Ring on Saturday 4th September 2021. It took the form of a Mayflower Morris Muster to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of The Mayflower sailing from Plymouth in 1620. The Muster was postponed from 2020 when it would also have marked the 50th Anniversary of Plymouth Morris. It began with an informal gathering on the Friday evening from 7pm at The Dolphin, Plymouth Barbican. On Saturday, the day consisted of 2 walking tours of Plymouth’s maritime heritage and historic hostelries interspersed with dancing at coastal locations. More formal dancing took place from 4pm when the 2 tours came together for a mass display on The Piazza.
The  2 tours were as follows:
Tour A:
Trigg Morris, Dartington Morris Men, Jockey Morris with representatives from Letchworth and Chester, hosted by members of Plymouth Morris. (Tour Leader: Paul Reece),

On Sunday there was a farewell gathering at lunchtime at the Dolphin for those who survived the weekend.
